Our first stop along the Fruit Loop was the Apple Valley Store where we peeled apples, helped make apple butter and climbed on the tractor.
Our next stop was Kiyokawa Farms. They have a large selection of heirloom apples which we tasted along with about seventy five other types of apples.The owner took us on a hay ride through the orchard and showed us the correct way to pick an apple off a tree. 
We had a tasty weekend!

Enjoy it! Once you have kids you'll be taking whatever apples Safeway delivery happens to deliver!

Someday we'll make it up there for apple harvest...
