To make hot chocolate.
During our holiday trip to California to visit my family, Ben and I went cross country skiing at Montecito Sequoia Lodge. We skied to a warming hut where we made hot chocolate and threw snowballs for Foster.
Ben used water from the camelback to prevent the snow from burning.
Foster had a great time bounding through the snow.

My mom told us about snow "ice cream"...when it snowed here last year the girls and I made chocolate snow ice cream...they still talk about it! It was pretty good!
