who taught me how to make apple pie?

Ed's Mom.

When Phoebe, Ed, Alex and Pete came to visit, Ed's parents came for part of the trip. Henry, Ed's dad, installed recessed lights in our bedrooms and Barbara, Ed's mom, taught me to make apple pie- crust and all.

It was super delicious. I can't wait for the fall apple harvest!

what world record did foster break?

Retrieval of the largest stick.

Even though I bought Foster a new Frisbee, he ignored it and went straight for the sticks on the beach. Then he found a log and convinced Ryan and Ben to throw it in the water...

and although we thought it was too big for him, it wasn't. He had no problem retrieving it from the water and bringing it back to the boys for more.

who are foster's new best friends?

Pete & Alex

Pete and Alex love Foster. They love hiking with him...

and throwing sticks for him. Pete even learned to give him treats. Check it out on Ben's blog.

Foster is one lucky dog!

what happens when the olhavas come to town?

We have a lot of adventures!
Saturday we went to visit the Mosier Tunnels. The wildflowers were in bloom. We walked to the lookout and then onto the tunnels. Alex went in the tunnel first. He told us he wasn't even scared.

Sunday Phoebe, Ed & Ben went skiing. Alex, Pete and I went to the Fish Hatchery, the Bonneville Dam and Multnomah Falls.

Herman the Sturgeon lives at the hatchery. He is the largest and oldest sturgeon at the hatchery. Herman is 70 years old.

Rainbow trout and sturgeon ponds are also at the hatchery.

After the hatchery, we visited the Bonneville Dam. We saw the fish ladders and then the dam.

Pete was super excited.

We had a great adventure!
